Welcome to our Indie Book Love linky! This is a special linky to cover Christmas and New Year and the normal Indie Sunday Book Love posts will return in 2012.
Today I’m offering something very special for authors and voters:
1) Authors: The book with the most votes will receive free advertising on the blog from 5th January to 31st March! The winner will get a 200×200 ad slot in rotation on the right sidebar.
2) Voters: Leave a comment telling us who you voted for and you could win an Amazon voucher worth $20! The winner will be drawn on 4th January 2012.
The rules for authors are easy:
- Leave your book listing in the ‘linky below’ (not comments). The link can lead to any page where readers can buy that book
- This time you can only post a link for 1 book
- Share this post on Twitter, Facebook or G+
- You can’t vote for your own book (or your book will be withdrawn)
- The list is set to display randomly each time to give each author an equal chance to have their book seen
The rules for voters are even easier:
- You can vote for more than one book
- You can’t vote for any particular book more than once
- Leave a comment with the book(s) you voted for and why to enter the $25 gift card draw
That’s it! The author of the book with the most likes will be contacted in January regarding the free advertising. The regular linky will return on 8th January 2012.
PS. If you have problems posting and end up posting a duplicate, don’t worry – I’ll delete the duff one automatically, you don’t need to email.
Happy reading and happy holidays!

Vote for Apocalypse Gene! Christmas special: Indie Book Love http://t.co/antcRA7C via @_mrs_b
I loved reading The Apocalypse Gene because of the way it starts out with a focus on one person, a young woman, then gets larger & larger as it keeps adding culture, relationships, danger, surprise, mystery, mythology, science and more, all at an ever-accelerating pace. The characters are up to something very serious, but humor still pops up in their dialogue. I didn’t want to put it down, and I didn’t want it to end.

Book 3 of The Index Series, Lineage, claimed my vote. So far I find that it’s very fascinating and intriguing, and I’ve heard good things about it from some folks I know online. I like the way it’s written.

I voted for LIKE MAYFLIES IN A STREAM by Shauna Roberts because she is a
talented writer who’s style easily transports the reader into historically accurate settings.
Her details give her stories a believability that allows the reader to experience all their
senses as they live the adventures through her characters.

Since this contest started, several titles have gone up that I’ve added to my ‘vote’ list.
In addition to Apocalypse Gene (mentioned earlier), I’ve added:
FINDER, original fantasy set in a richly woven world.
THE SONG AND THE SORCERESS, epic fantasy featuring a great female protagonist
LIKE MAYFLIES IN A STREAM, the legend of Gligamesh as it might have really happened.
THE PRIESTESS AND THE SLAVE, chronicles the lives of two women leading very different lives in ancient Greece.
There are several more titles that are on my reading list, others that caught my attention because they were included here. But unfortunately I can’t vote for those just yet. . .
Thanks so much for hosting this even; it’s been fun!

I’m voting for Eolyn and Two Moons of Sera because both were very well written fantasy novels and worth buying. I’m excited for both sequels.
