Katrina Byrd

Carlyle Clark

Todd R. Tystad

Welcoming Todd was like meeting a friend for the first time in person: he’s been such a big part of Adopt an Indie that having the opportunity to chat was absolutely wonderful! Todd talked about his writing and his book (Blue Hill) and you can find out more about both here:

Vickie Johnstone

And then, a fellow Brit! Not only that but one who had stayed up until the wee small hours of the morning in order to take part. An amazing writer of cat tales (see the Kiwi series), she’s also a poet and a NaNoWriMo winner. Learn more about Vickie Johnstone here:

Karin Rita Gastreich

Then I spoke to the delightful Karin, who was kind enough to let me pick her brains about getting people to read her fantasy novel, Eolyn. She also answered a question from listener – and author – Charles – about how to get reviews: persistence and insistence! To find out more about Karin visit:

Lynne Cantwell

We took a short break and then spoke to Lynne and I thought her story sounded so intriguing. Lynne’s novel SwanSong clearly sounds like a labour of love and writing/books is something of a family affair. Lynne is another NaNoWriMo participant: find out more here:

Cynthia Hill

I then welcomed Cynthia and also became spellbound by her book, Idol Hands. Plus, I developed a burning desire to sing New Kids on the Block’s ‘The Right Stuff’ that I still can’t shake. She was a great guest though: I honestly don’t think she’d have been troubled if I’d burst into song. Find out more about Cynthia here:

William G. Jones

I then welcomed William, who has been another incredible participant in Adopt an Indie and once again it was like meeting a friend! William talked passionately about his writing, his novella Driving to BelAir and his dog and I’m sure we could have talked for a lot longer but time was against us. Justin Dennis

Finally I spoke to a remarkable young man and one the indie author community is taking under its wing. Though a college freshman, Justin already has his first title out there and is working on the sequel!
